‘CONCERT FOR SLIM’ TO BE RELEASED ON DVD ON AUGUST 23RD

On January 20th over 30 of Australia's finest recording artists gathered at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre before a capacity crowd with one common goal…to celebrate the life & songs of the late great Slim Dusty.
 
And it is with great pleasure that the Slim Dusty Foundation & EMI Music Australia announce that due to a huge public demand this historic concert , with a once in a lifetime line-up, will now be released on DVD on August 31st.
 
All proceeds from the sale of the DVD will go directly to the Slim Dusty Foundation to aid in the development of the Slim Dusty Centre in Kempsey.
 
Performing over 30 songs that Slim made a part of our Australian culture, the line up of artists who all donated their time & talents to pay tribute to the undeniable King of Australian Country Music included…
 

James Blundell , Adam Brand, Lindsay Butler, Troy Cassar-Daley, Bill Chambers, Kasey Chambers , Nathan Charlton, Beccy Cole, Graeme Connors, Tracy Coster , Peter Denahy, Adam Harvey , Gina Jeffrey's, Paul Kelly, Lee Kernaghan, Tania Kernaghan, Anne Kirkpatrick , David Kirkpatrick , James & Kate Arneman and Hanna Kirkpatrick (Slims Grandchildren), Jimmy Little, The McKean Sisters, Lawrie Minson, Joy McKean, Norma O'Hara Murphy, Dobe Newton, Melinda Schneider, Sara Storer , Keith Urban, Felicity Urquhart, John Williamson, Brian Young, and the Travelling Country Band.

At sound check before the show Lee Kernaghan said “It will be a night for all of us to honour the King and send our love to the man who made Australian Country Music what it is today.”

And indeed it was.

The ‘Concert For Slim' will be released proudly through EMI Music Australia on August 23rd.
