The Slim Dusty Centre has received proceeds from the Slim Dusty Concert, "Country Rocks the Gaol", held during the January school holidays.
A cheque totalling $1000 was raised after around 150 concert-goers listened and danced to some great performances.
Concert organiser Bob McWilliam said plans were under way to attract a bigger and better crowd at the next fundraising concert in 2010.
"Everyone who attended said they had a most enjoyable afternoon, with a good mix of locals and holiday makers," Mr McWilliam said.
Golden Guitar winners featured throughout the afternoon, most notably Slim Dusty's daughter Anne Kirkpatrick, talented 20 year old rising star Kirsty Lee Akers, locals Amos Morris and Steve Passfield and Melbourne band Ruckus.
The concert was supported by the South West Rocks Lions Club which ran a barbecue at the event and South West Rocks Rotary - as well as National Parks and Wildlife Service which allowed free use of the venue.
