The Slim Dusty Foundation and Prime have forged a major community partnership in a joint effort to make the Slim Dusty Centre in Kempsey NSW a reality. |
| Prime’s generous and valuable support will include an exclusive television campaign across regional NSW, to promote the Slim Dusty Centre Appeal. |
| To be launched on Prime later this year, the campaign will help create awareness of the Centre project and highlight the many ways people and businesses can become involved. |

| Joy McKean, Deputy Chair of the Slim Dusty Foundation said, “The support offered to the Slim Dusty Foundation by Prime Television Network will be invaluable in our campaign to make a reality Slim’s dream of a Centre in his hometown of Kempsey. My family and I, the Board of Directors and our whole team appreciate and welcome our partnership with Prime as we move forward in our quest.” |
Maureen Walters, Prime General Manager NSW said the community partnership was a logical step for two organisations operating in regional New South Wales and would provide both with a strong community-based focus. |
‘The Slim Dusty Centre will be an extremely important cultural and historical facility for Australia and PRIME is very pleased to join in partnership with the Slim Dusty Foundation in promoting its community awareness and fundraising initiatives to build the Centre,’ said Walters.
‘The Centre will be a fitting tribute to Slim Dusty — an Australian icon and country music legend.
‘It will indeed be a journey through the heart and soul of Australia and Prime looks forward to being a part of this exciting journey, as a part of its ongoing commitment to the communities in which we operate and serve.’ |

Kempsey Mayor, Cr Janet Hayes, was also quick to thank Prime, saying: |
‘I congratulate and thank the Prime Television Network for its decision to support and promote the Slim Dusty Centre project.
‘Prime joins an increasing list of local businesses, major corporations, government and private donors committed to building this lasting memory of Slim Dusty, his life and his unique reflections of the heritage of Australia.’ |

| The General Manager of the Slim Dusty Foundation, Kathryn Yarnold, hailed the significant exposure for the project through the extensive Prime Network. |
“PRIME is a leading industry and community figure and their support comes at a time where the need to draw in further funds is vital to a successful fundraising appeal,” said Ms Yarnold. |
