The Coastline Community Credit Union has confirmed its active support for the proposed Slim Dusty Centre by becoming a Foundation Donor.
Their generous donation of $25,000 will be contributed over a five-year period. This donation is in addition to the 5% on annual profits that the Coastline Community Foundation already gives back to the Kempsey community, supporting volunteer, family and environmental organizations to name just a few.

‘We are proud to be involved with the Slim Dusty Centre,’ says Coastline Credit Union’s General Manager, Peter Townsend.

‘We believe the Centre will boost Kempsey’s national identity and provide significant economic benefits for the Macleay Valley.’
In supporting the Slim Dusty Centre, the Coastline Credit Union joins other major local companies like Akubra Hats Pty Ltd, Emeco International Pty Ltd and Kempsey McDonald’s Family Restaurant — also some of the strong, early local supporters of the project.
Steve Read, director of the Slim Dusty Foundation, said it was pleasing to see local businesses get behind the Centre.
‘Lots of businesses have already made contributions,’ he said. ‘Any business can make contributions in lots of $25,000 and do so in installments that suit their budget.’
Chairman of the Foundation is delighted by the high level of local support for the Slim Dusty Centre.
‘It would be un-Australian not to support such an exciting development — one that will be good for Kempsey and Australia,’ he says.
General Manager of the Slim Dusty Foundation, Kathryn Yarnold, said that local and regional support is escalating.

‘It makes me proud to present to a major Australian company in Sydney and be able to detail the extensive support Kempsey has already put behind this great project. We are asking businesses and organizations to kindly consider contributing a Foundation Donor unit of $25,000 that is fully tax deductible.

‘We are very proud that some larger organizations have chosen to donate multiples of the Foundation Donor Unit, and equally grateful that organizations with limited annual budgets, prefer to contribute to the Slim Dusty Foundation over a five year term, being $5,000 per year from their Community Budget.’

As acknowledgement for a Foundation Donor, the Slim Dusty Foundation will:

  • Proudly etch the individual’s or business’s name on the prestigious Honour Roll in the Foyer of the Slim Dusty Centre, to go down in history as one of the elite group of FOUNDATION DONORS.
  • Provide acknowledgement as a FOUNDATION DONOR on the Slim Dusty Centre website.
  • Each valued FOUNDATION DONOR will be invited to the Official Opening of the Slim Dusty Centre, knowing that they have played a vital role in assisting this worthy project to a successful completion.
They will receive a special framed Certificate of Thanks, acknowledging their proud position as a FOUNDATION DONOR of the Slim Dusty Foundation.
