NOMINATE A MATE – EXTENDED BY 1 WEEK!
NOMINATIONS are currently open for the third Slim Dusty Community Mateship and Youth Awards, and have been extended by one week only due to increased requests.
The awards are based around the qualities and values Slim was inspired by. Applicants should display qualities of fairness, mateship, family and community as well as a strong desire to learn.
The Slim Dusty Foundation along with the NAB and Essential Energy are proud to celebrate these values.
Mid North Coast NAB Business Banking Partner Bernadette Sinclair said NAB are proud to partner with the Foundation in the NAB Slim Dusty Community Mateship Award.
“We recognise that strong core values start with fairness, mateship, family, community and learning,” she said. “At NAB, we have a shared belief in doing the right thing, helping our customers, our communities and our colleagues in realising their potential.”
Nominations are also sought for the Essential Energy Slim Dusty Community Youth Award. Open to people aged 12 to 18, the award recognises those who have made a positive contribution to their community and society.
Essential Energy's Regional General Manager Brian Mclean said Essential Energy was a keen supporter of the Youth Award.
“We are excited to be supporting this award which recognises the great contribution that youth have provided back into the community and society,” he said. “To be supporting an award which focuses on the outstanding values of Slim, values that Essential Energy believes in, makes us very proud.”
Nominations now close on October 14 and forms can be downloaded from the websites www.slimdustycentre.com.au www.slimdusty.com.au or www.macleayargus.com.au
The award winners will be announced at the Slim Dusty Country Music Memories Week at Kempsey Showground on Saturday, October 29.
