Platypus hunting

Step into the quiet of the forest. Slow down. Breathe. Drift along.

The Nulla Nulla Regional Gallery presents Drifting along by Joy Le Cerf. Joy is an Australian artist, illustrator, and children’s book creator, whose work is inspired by the lush rainforests of the Mid North Coast.

Her paintings and illustrations explore the calming, restorative power of nature, flowing water, dense bush, and the small, everyday wonders that invite stillness and reflection.

This exhibition grew from walks in the bush with her grandchildren, where Joywitnessedmoments of curiosity, calm, and wonder. Visitors are invited to imagine themselves part of the landscape: to listen, observe, and feel. In stillness, the everyday fades, and the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
