A bold exploration of nature, memory and change at Nulla Nulla Regional Gallery
Nulla Nulla Regional Gallery is proud to present Forgotten Remnants, a solo exhibition by acclaimed Northern Rivers artist Rochelle Summerfield, running from Friday 4 July to Saturday 6 September 2025.
In a first for the gallery, Summerfield will create a site-specific wall installation, painted directly onto the gallery wall and later erased—symbolising the temporary, vanishing beauty of nature under the pressures of climate change. This powerful act of impermanence invites reflection on the fragility of our natural landscapes.
The exhibition features a diverse body of work including large-scale tree portraits, framed works, sculpture, and the ephemeral wall painting. Summerfield’s art is deeply connected to the rivers, trees and ecosystems of NSW, drawing on decades of fieldwork and artistic exploration.
Summerfield, who holds a Master of Research and a Bachelor of Visual Arts with First Class Honours from Southern Cross University, has exhibited widely and is represented in major public collections including the State Library of Victoria and RMIT Gallery.
Join us for the opening celebration on Friday 4 July from 2pm. All are welcome, please RSVP.
